Urban Cougar: An older woman, typically early thirties to mid-forties, who has abandoned traditional rules of romantic engagement and taken as her mission the seduction of as many game young men as she can possibly handle.

Pura Vida: Spanish for "pure life." The law of the land in Costa Rica. The expression is used in many forms, from a greeting, to a synonym for "excellent." Ticos follow this lifestyle and are some of the most wonderful people on earth. A synonym of "hakuna matata." Life is wonderful; enjoy it.

9 to 9: Way to say you hustle. Most people work 9 to 5, but you put in more. You have the 9 to 9 hustle.

hip replacement: The process of introducing a formerly cool person to a product or idea that attempts to make them cool again. Reinventing an individuals public persona through assocation or action.

check your vitals: To check your email, myspace, facebook, blog, and/or any daily essential websites.

free-timer: like a part-timer or a full-timer, but one major difference, a free-timer has no job. they have a lot of free time, so they are therefore a free-timer.

flagaphile: One is so patriotic that they would gladly mate with the American flag.

floordrobe: A form of storage for clothing which requires no hangers, drawers, doors or effort. Simply drop on the floor and you have a floordrobe.

clicktease: When a website or website link leads you to believe you will be seeing pornography or some other sexual material, when in fact this offer is false or misleading.

break your crayons: Make you very upset or sad, or ruin your whole day.

globfrag: Coined word from globalization and fragmentation; as the world becomes more globalized with increasing technology and knowledge, more fragmentation occurs among individuals and societies.

girlfriend voice: The change in pitch or tone of a man's voice when talking to their significant other. The girlfriend voice is characterized by a higher pitch and a more effeminate tone with speech patterns scattered with pet names and childish words. This type of speech is usually frowned upon when used in the presence of other men. When another man uses this voice they will usually receive a fair amount of ridicule.

wake and bake: Toking up right after you wake up.

escape goat: Someone flirted with, obsessed over and generally courted by a person in a relationship they want to get out of in the hope that it will give them the courage and will to leave.

y/n: Saying y/n parodies the old DOS programs people used back in the day. It means yes/no, and some geeks still use it when they ask questions. For example:

disco nap: sleeping when ya got something goin' later on that you need to get ready for.

epiphanot: An idea that at first seems like an amazing insight (at least to the conceiver) but later turns out to be pointless, mundane, stupid, or incorrect, and often is the root cause of bad decisions. Mostly occurs under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

taxed: stolen. to have something taken from you without your permission or consent, and without the intention to be returned.

spring broke: When you're broke because you spent all your money on spring break.

girl crush: feelings of admiration and adoration which a girl has for another girl, without wanting to shag said girl. a nonsexual attraction, usually based on veneration at some level. related to boy crush

excessorise: To eat, drink, take drugs or the like for personal indulgence in excessive amounts.

brohemian: Variation of the word brother combined with the term bohemian. Used to denote a close affiliate.

bamma: A general-multi used DC Metro area term used to describe a person who has no style, taste, or class. Usually this person has no idea that he/she is classified as a Bamma - rather they go about their daily lives thinking what they do, say, or wear is acceptable.

hater tots: Like haterade, the figurative snack you consume when you're hating on someone.

Peeps: Marshmallow candies in the shape of rabbits and baby chickens. Usually served around Easter. Also short for "people".

vegi-curious: One who is considering the vegetarian lifestyle, but has yet to make a committment to it.

Embiggen: Verb. To make more admirable or great.
